Red dots on your skin: Causes and what they could mean

The appearance of red dots on the skin can have various causes. While some disappear on their own, others require appropriate treatment. Some of the most common causes of red spots include allergic reactions, acne scars, vascular birthmarks, angiomas, protein overproduction, heat rash, insect bites, leaking capillaries, and autoimmune conditions.

1. Petechiae and Purpura

Impetigo is a contagious bacterial infection that primarily affects children. It is characterized by red sores that open, ooze fluid, and later form a crust.

8. Vasculitis

Vasculitis is a condition associated with autoimmune disorders or infections that causes inflammation of blood vessels.

9. Hemangiomas

Hemangiomas are birthmarks resulting from the abnormal growth of blood vessels. While generally harmless, they may occasionally require medical intervention.

Home Remedies

Several home remedies may help prevent the spread of red dots and aid in their removal. However, it is always recommended to consult a healthcare professional before trying any treatment.

Dandelion Tea – Boil dandelion root powder in water, strain, and drink the tea for detoxification, which may help reduce red skin dots.

Aloe Vera – Apply fresh aloe vera gel to the affected skin twice a day, leaving it on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing.

Coconut Oil – Massage freshly cleaned skin with coconut oil and leave it overnight for best results. Repeat the process until you notice improvements.
